Spike

I found Spike in the middle of the street with 8 of her litter mates.  She was only about 6 weeks old when I rescued her and her sister, Sugar.  I brought them home and named them "Sugar and Spice," but Steve would not have that!  He hated the names, and the fact that I didn't ask to bring these dogs home didn't please him either.  Steve decided to have his say, and he named "Spice" "Spike."

Lily

Lily, my great pyrenees,  had been dumped in East Nashville, and picked up by a friend of mine, who promptly dumped Lily at my house.  I did not want this dog!  I wanted Nicklaus, my little miniature pinscher back!  I didn't want a big, furry dog!  Now I love this gentle, loving, giant teddy bear of a dog!

Shortie

Shortie, a funny little mix, showed up at our front gate in August of 2004.  We let her in, and Steve fell in love with her and immediately named her Shortie.  The next day, we found her owners, and were sad to return her.  However, 2 weeks later, the owner asked us if we wanted Shortie, because they couldn't take care of her.  We wholeheartedly said YES!  We love this goofy little dog!
